Ayodhya (UP): The grand Dipotsav started on Friday in the presence of Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the city of Lord Rama, Ayodhya. Five lakh 51 thousand lamps will be lit in Dipotsav.

After arriving here by helicopter on Friday afternoon, the Governor and the Chief Minister worshiped Lord Rama. After that, on landing on the Saryu coast from the ‘Pushpak Viman’ (helicopter), he welcomed the actors playing the roles of Lord Rama, Goddess Sita and Laxman.

Earlier on Friday, an official spokesperson said that Ayodhya, the adored Lord Shriram of millions of Hindus in the country and the world, will become the new identity of Uttar Pradesh on the global stage. The planned manner in which Yogi Adityanath Sarkar has been trying for the last four and a quarter years to decorate and beautify the city of Shri Ram, will not only be on the religious and cultural map in the time to come, Will also become the standard.

He informed that after the construction of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple has started, now considering the immense possibilities of tourism development here, the Yogi Government is making policy efforts. If everything goes well, small ships i.e. cruises will be seen sailing in the river Saryu on the lines of Ganga.

According to the spokesperson, work is underway on a plan to make Ram Nagari Ayodhya a city like Tirupati. In view of the need for connectivity development, an international airport is being developed here. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that a 251 meter long idol of Lord Rama will be erected on the banks of Saryu river in Ayodhya. A place has also been marked for this. Five star hotels will be built for the stay of devotees. Guest houses of all the states and some selected countries, Ranbaseras will also be constructed for the stay of pilgrims. There will be much more than Navya Ayodhya as the world’s tallest statue of Lord Rama, a coordinated model of the Vedic and modern city. Some work is happening and many are in the pipeline.

The spokesperson informed that the state and central government have opened the treasury for the development projects of Ayodhya. With the doubling of the railway line coming to Ayodhya, beautification and expansion work of the railway station will be started soon as per the future requirements. The National Highways Authority is proposing a bypass from Ayodhya Dham to Sohawal to Vikramjot. The widening of four lane road from Rae Bareli to Ayodhya at a cost of about Rs. 1500 crore will also start soon.

Recently, in the review meeting of the tourism department, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said that in order to make Ayodhya a global city in terms of tourism, select a corresponding consultant. In Ayodhya, construction work of Dasharath Mahal, Satsanga Bhavan, Yatri Sahayata Kendra and Ranbasera is underway at a cost of about Rs. 242 lakhs.

At present, a Driving Training Institute at a cost of Rs. 524 lakhs in Ayodhya, Chhajan on Panchkoshi Parikrama Marg at a cost of Rs. 197 lakhs, a multipurpose hall at Digambar Akhara at a cost of Rs. Under the Smart City Mission, the work for sewerage and drinking water is separate. The railway line is being doubled, the railway station is being expanded and beautified. The National Highways Authority has some proposals for widening of roads.
