Washington: The outgoing US President Donald Trump has filed a new petition in the Supreme Court as part of his efforts to dismiss the result of the November 3 election. Trump’s publicity team revealed this on Sunday. This petition requests the reversal of the Pennsylvania ballot paper decision, dismissing the will of the voters and giving the Pennsylvania General Assembly the right to elect its electors. The Supreme Court has already rejected several petitions from Trump over allegations of fraud in the voting process.
The outcome of Pennsylvania will have no effect on the election. Even if the outcome changes in Pennsylvania, Joe will remain the winner in the presidential election due to the large margin of victory at the Biden Electoral College (electoral college). Trump’s lawyer Rudy Gilliani said in a statement, “The petition calls for all suitable solutions. It has been urged to dismiss the Electoral College appointed in Pennsylvania and in return for the permission of the new General College of the State General Assembly. ”
Advocate has requested a decision on this at the earliest before the US Congress meeting on 6 January. Biden’s victory will be confirmed in a parliament meeting. Trump received 232 and Biden received 306 electoral college votes. However, the judges are unlikely to hear the petition before January 8. After three weeks of counting and legal challenges ended, Pennsylvania election results last month confirmed Biden’s victory in the state with 20 electoral votes.
