New Delhi: Elon Musk’s satellite internet venture, Starlink, is finally set to make its official India debut after securing long-awaited government approvals. The service, which has faced regulatory roadblocks since 2021, is now preparing for commercial rollout by the next quarter (late 2025).

However, the company must still complete a few final steps before launch:

  • Setting up Points of Presence (PoPs) in India,
  • Securing SATCOM gateway approvals,
  • Acquiring licences for equipment imports,
