This is the seventh incident of technical fault in SpiceJet’s aircraft in 17 days
Priority landing was carried out at the Mumbai airport on Tuesday following a crack in the windshield at an altitude of 23,000 feet. According to DGCA officials, this is at least the seventh incident of a technical snag in a SpiceJet aircraft in the last 17 days. Earlier in the day, SpiceJet’s Delhi-Dubai flight was diverted to Karachi due to a fault in the fuel indicator. Officials said the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is probing both the incidents on Tuesday as well as the last five incidents.
Earlier, another SpiceJet aircraft, Boeing 737 MAX, which was going from Delhi to Dubai, had a problem with the fuel indicator. Suddenly there was a decrease in the amount of fuel in the left tank due to which the aircraft was diverted towards Karachi. Officials said that when checks were carried out at the Karachi airport, no leak was found from the left tank. That is, there was a mistake in the indicator itself.
