Mumbai: The Indian Cricket Board has announced the Indian team for the T20 series for the tour of South Africa and the last Test match against England on the last tour. The board has appointed KL Rahul as the captain for the T20 series, while Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the vice-captain of the team. With this, Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh, who performed brilliantly in the IPL, have been included in the Indian team. Also, Kuldeep Yadav and Dinesh Karthik have returned to the national team. The board has announced the team for the last test match against England.
Umran and Arshdeep got the reward
Umran Malik and Arshdeep, who performed brilliantly in the current edition of the Indian Premier League, were included in the team. The board has rewarded him for his performance. With this, Dinesh Karthik and Kuldeep Yadav, who have been out of the team for several months, have returned to the team. Both the players have done exceptionally well for their respective teams this season.
Hardik was also rewarded for his excellent performance
While rewarding Gujarat Lions captain Hardik Pandya for his excellent performance, the board has made a comeback in the team. Hardik has done wonders with the ball as well as with the bat in this season of IPL. This season he has scored 413 runs in 13 matches at an average of 41.30 and strike rate of 131.52. He has also taken four wickets as well.
Cheteshwar Pujara returns to the Test team
Cheteshwar Pujara, who was in excellent form, was believed to be selected for the team for the tour of England and it happened. Pujara had scored two double centuries and two hundred in the recently held County Championship. Pujara scored 720 runs in eight innings of five matches in the County Championship Division Two tournament at an average of 120.00.
