Mumbai: In a heartwarming union, Bollywood actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal exchanged vows in an intimate registered marriage. The couple, who had been dating for years, chose a low-key celebration at Sonakshi’s Bandra apartment in Mumbai on June 23, 2024. The love-filled ceremony was attended by close family members and friends, including Sonakshi’s Heeramandi co-star, Aditi Rao Hydari, and actor Siddharth.
The couple, dressed in matching off-white outfits, radiated joy as they smiled for the camera. Sonakshi shared glimpses of their special day on her Instagram, captioning the photos: “Here’s to love, hope, and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever”. The pre-wedding festivities included pujas at Sonakshi’s family home, Ramayan, and an indoor party for friends and family. The celebrations culminated in a mehendi ceremony, where Sonakshi’s parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, were present.
Despite initial rumors, Shatrughan Sinha’s attendance at the party dispelled any doubts about his approval of the union. He had previously mentioned that modern children often inform rather than seek permission from their parents.
