Lahore: Nearly one thousand Sikhs in Pakistan celebrated the first anniversary of the inauguration of the historic Kartarpur Corridor at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib on Monday. In November last year, the two countries opened this corridor under a historic initiative that connects Dera Baba Nanak Sahib in Gurdaspur in India and Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan.
According to the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), the event was held in Narowal on the occasion of the anniversary of the corridor, which was not attended by any minister of the Imran Khan government. According to it, about a thousand Sikhs and local guests joined the program. The ETBP said in a statement that the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee also offered prayers at Gurdwara Darbar Sahib.
