Mumbai: Shahrukh Khan, the Bollywood superstar, is busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Dinky’, which is slated to hit the screens on December 21. The film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, is a comedy-drama that revolves around the life of a struggling actor who gets a chance to play a superhero.
Before the release of his film, Shahrukh Khan had been seeking divine blessings from various religious places. Recently, he visited the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir, where he performed a special puja and received a prasad from the priests.
On Wednesday, he also paid a visit to the famous Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi, Maharashtra, along with his daughter Suhana Khan, and his manager Pooja Dadlani. He offered prayers to the revered saint and tied a chunari (scarf) around his neck as a mark of respect.
A video of Shahrukh Khan and Suhana Khan inside the temple premises was shared by the news agency ANI. The video showed the father-daughter duo wearing masks and following the COVID-19 protocols. Shahrukh Khan was seen in a casual white t-shirt, while Suhana Khan was seen in a simple light blue suit.
Another video of them leaving the temple after the darshan was also circulated on social media. The video showed Shahrukh Khan being surrounded by a huge crowd of fans and media persons, who tried to catch a glimpse of him. He was seen holding his daughter’s hand and escorting her to the car, while his security personnel cleared the way for them.
Shahrukh Khan has a huge fan following in Shirdi, as he had shot some scenes of his film ‘Om Shanti Om’ there in 2007. He had also visited the temple then and had expressed his faith in Sai Baba.
Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Dinky’ is expected to be a blockbuster, as it marks his comeback to the silver screen after a gap of three years. His last film was ‘Zero’ in 2018, which did not perform well at the box office. His fans are eagerly waiting to see him in a new avatar and hope that his film will be a hit.
