Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been hospitalized after suffering a knee injury, according to India.com. The report stated that the actor was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai on Monday, January 22, and is expected to undergo surgery soon. However, there has been no official confirmation from Saif’s team or his family regarding his health condition.
Saif’s wife and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is also known as Bebo, has been by his side at the hospital, as per the report. The couple, who tied the knot in October 2012, are one of the most popular and influential pairs in the Hindi film industry. They have two sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan.
Saif and Kareena recently appeared on the eighth season of Karan Johar’s celebrity talk show Koffee With Karan, where they opened up about their relationship, their careers, and their family. When Karan asked Saif how Kareena has influenced him, the Vikram Vedha actor praised his wife for her positive impact on his life. He said, “I think in terms of time management, health, exercise, routine, discipline, patience. Phenomenal things.”
Saif was previously married to actress Amrita Singh, who is 12 years older than him. They got married in 1991 and divorced in 2004. They have two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, who are also pursuing careers in Bollywood. Saif had revealed on Koffee With Karan that his mother, veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, was hurt and angry when he married Amrita without informing her and his father, late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. He said that Sharmila cried and asked him why he didn’t tell her. He also said that Sharmila met Amrita over tea when she came to Mumbai after learning about their relationship. He said that Sharmila was shocked by his decision, but she liked Amrita.
