Rare footage of Titanic recorded in 1986

London: People have always been interested in knowing about the most modern, gigantic, and very beautiful Titanic ship of its time. James Cameron introduced it to the world in 1997 with the hit film of the same name. Since the ship’s sinking, many people have tried to bring back the wreckage of the Titanic located at a depth of about 13,000 feet at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

Now new and first-of-its-kind footage of the magnificent passenger ship has been revealed to the world, which helps to know what the ship looked like decades before the wreckage deteriorated. The footage recorded in 1986 has been shared by NowThis on Instagram. The clip is being released on the 25th anniversary of Titanic, the 1997 film starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Although it can be used for high-resolution footage, this was not the case. It is shown in the video that the camera pans over the debris and what is seen there can only be called scary. Dr. Robert Ballard, who led the Woods Hole Oceanic Institution expedition, also mentioned it for the first time when the Titanic surfaced.

The footage reveals that researchers were able to locate it in 1985, after decades of trying to find where the Titanic sank. Dr Ballard first photographed the ship in 1985, and went back to the ocean floor nine months later to capture the footage.

People on the internet were stunned to see the grandeur of the Titanic ship even after so many years of sinking. An Instagram user wrote, ‘Unbelievable. I wish I could see Titanic in real life.’ The sinking of the RMS Titanic is one of the most famous tragedies in modern history. It sank during its maiden voyage on April 14–15, 1912. About 1,500 passengers and ship personnel lost their lives in this accident.
