New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the NEET UG 2025 results, bringing relief and excitement to millions of medical aspirants across India. The results are now available on the official portal, neet.nta.nic.in, where candidates can check and download their scorecards using their application number and date of birth.
Record Participation and Top Performers
This year, NEET UG saw a record registration of 22,76,069 candidates, with 22,09,318 appearing for the exam held on May 4, 2025, across 5,453 centres in over 500 cities, including 14 international locations. Out of these, 12,36,531 candidates have qualified for the medical entrance, making it one of the largest qualifying pools ever.
Mahesh Kumar from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, clinched the All India Rank 1 with a 99.99995 percentile, while Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh secured AIR 2. Delhi’s Avika Aggarwal emerged as the top female candidate, securing AIR 5.

State-Wise Success
Uttar Pradesh led in the number of qualified candidates (1,70,684), followed by Maharashtra (1,25,727) and Rajasthan (1,19,865). Delhi also made a strong showing in the top 10 ranks, with three candidates.
Category-Wise Cut-Offs
The NEET UG 2025 cut-off marks dropped across all categories compared to last year. For the general category, the cut-off decreased to 686-144 (from 720-162 in 2024). For SC, ST, and OBC categories, the cut-off fell to 143-113 (from 161-127 in 2024). Candidates must meet the minimum qualifying percentile to be eligible for the next stage counselling.

Qualified candidates can participate in the Medical Counselling Committee’s (MCC) All India Quota counselling for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other undergraduate medical programs.
