Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra has extended her support to Iranian women protesting the death of 22-year-old Mehsa Amini. Sharing her response, the actress shared a long note on her official Instagram handle. Through this post, global star Priyanka has appreciated ‘the courage of women and their purpose to fight back’. You are cutting your hair. Whose young life was so ruthlessly snatched away by the Iranian Morality Police? Raise your voice against him.

Priyanka further wrote- ‘I am amazed by your courage and your purpose. It is not easy to challenge the patriarchal system and fight for your rights, risking your life. But, you are courageous women who are doing this every day, no matter what the cost of yourself. To ensure that this movement will have a lasting impact, we must listen to their cries, understand the issues and then engage with our collective voices. We should also include all those who can influence others to join as well.

The actress further wrote- ‘Add your voice to this important movement. Be informed and vocal, so that these voices are no longer forced to remain silent. I stand with you Jin, Zian, Azadi… Women, Zindagi, Azadi.’ Explain why Iranian women are brave and fearless. Last month, Turkish singer Melek Moso cut her hair during a show in solidarity with thousands of Iranian women who are demanding justice for the death of Mahsa Amini.
