New Delhi: The demand for electric cars is increasing continuously in India and at the same time the options to buy them are increasing. Earlier Tata Motors ruled the electric car market but now Tata is facing tough competition from Mahindra as well as Hyundai. Hyundai brought its second electric car Hyundai IONIQ 5 in India some time ago, which is a feature-loaded car and is being liked a lot in India.
In the first two months itself, this premium electric car got 650 bookings, which is a very good number. The price of this electric car is Rs 45.95 lakh (ex-showroom) and you can buy it for about Rs 16 lakh less than the Kia EV6. IONIQ 5 is being manufactured in India only.
Range and power
Talking about battery and range, Hyundai Ionic 5 has been equipped with a 72.6kWh battery pack. With its help, this car is capable of giving a range of 631km (ARAI approved) on a single charge. The IONIQ 5 is available only in rear-wheel drive configuration and its electric motor generates 217hp power and 350Nm torque. This car can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes through a 350kW DC charger. The headlights and tail lights of this premium EV come in a pixelated look.
Features of Hyundai IONIQ5
This car comes with 20-inch wheels and they are aero-optimized. This car can be bought in 3 color options which include Gravity Gold Matt, Optic White, and Midnight Black Pearl option. The features list of the car gets dual 12.3-inch screens one will be the driver display unit and the other will be the infotainment system display. Apart from this, features like ventilated front seats, ADAS level 2, power seats, six airbags, and vehicle-to-load function (V2L) are available in this car. This car can achieve a speed of 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds.
