Three aircraft from Pakistan International Airlines arrived in Pakistan on Sunday with 1 million doses of the Vaccine Cyanopharm by the Three Aircraft Chinese Company.
These aircraft had left for China on Saturday. PAI’s country manager for China, Qadir Baksh Sangi, said that in addition, 20 million additional doses of the vaccine would also be brought from China to Pakistan on April 29 by a national carrier. The new vaccine regime has come at a time when Pakistan is facing the third wave of infection and the danger of controlling the previous two waves has been threatened.
Last month, Pakistan received five lakh doses of the Covid-19 vaccine from China. Earlier on February 1, China had donated half a million doses of the Sinoform vaccine, which led to a vaccination campaign in Pakistan.
