Islamabad: Pakistan has received 15.5 lakh doses of China-made anti-Covid vaccine on Sunday. The National Command and Control Center, Pakistan (NCOC) said that Pakistan had procured Sinovac vaccines and the consignments of vaccines were brought to Islamabad and Karachi by Pakistan International Airlines aircraft.
“China has taken special measures to ensure uninterrupted supply of vaccines to Pakistan,” the NCOC said. He said another consignment of 20-30 lakh doses would arrive from China in the coming weeks. Planning Minister and NCOC chief Asad Umar tweeted that over 23 lakh vaccines have been administered last week and the rate of vaccination is 3,32,877 per day.
Meanwhile, the National Health Ministry said that 1050 new patients with coronavirus infection were confirmed in Pakistan in the last 24 hours, after which the total number of cases has reached 9,48,268, while the death toll after 37 more deaths in this period is 21,977. has reached.
