Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Saturday that the world should engage with Afghanistan to meet humanitarian needs and provide economic stability to avert the refugee crisis in the war-torn country. Let us tell you that Pakistan has recognized the Taliban rule. Not only this, the chief of Pakistani intelligence agency Faiz Hamid is camping in Afghanistan.

Khan spoke over the telephone with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the two leaders discussed developments in Afghanistan with a special focus on the humanitarian situation. According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Khan underscored the need for greater engagement of the international community with Afghanistan to meet humanitarian needs and ensure economic stability.

“Such steps will not only strengthen security but will also stop the mass exodus of Afghans from their country,” he said. In this way, the refugee crisis arising out of Afghanistan will be prevented. Khan highlighted the importance of peace, stability, and an inclusive political solution in Afghanistan.
