Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan cannot sustain with complete lock down for a long time as its 25 per cent population is living below the poverty line.

It is very easy for rich countries to proclaim lock-down, however, Pakistan cannot close down business activities because our poor people including laborers earn their livelihood by daily wage jobs, the Prime Minister said on Saturday while addressing a news conference flanked by Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar and Provincial Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid in Lahore.
He said we will focus on hot spots for curbing the Corona virus instead of enforcing it.
Meanwhile, the country registered biggest single day spike in infections as 6,825 new Corona virus cases have surfaced over the last twenty four hours taking the total tally to 139,230.
