New Delhi: According to the big news of the afternoon, dozens of football lovers were injured when a temporary gallery collapsed during the Sevens football match at Vandoor in Malappuram on Saturday night.
It is being told that this accident happened at Pongodu football ground on Kalikavu-Vandur road. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals in and around Vandoor, while three people have been admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital in Manjeri.
Police said that more than 1,000 people were sitting in the gallery when it suddenly collapsed around 9.30 pm. According to locals on the incident, this gallery, made of bamboo and areca tree slats, had become light due to the summer rains in the region in the past.
At present, many injured have broken legs and arms in this incident. At the same time, the number of injured, including many children, is currently being told more than 100. However, none was in such a serious condition. At present, all are being treated in a nearby hospital.
