Kullu: After the snowfall in different parts of Himachal Pradesh, winter is now wreaking havoc. After heavy snowfall in the Kullu district, the temperature has gone below zero degrees (Cold Wave). Due to this, Manali and the surrounding area are experiencing bone-chilling cold. One person died last night due to a cold in Chachoga, Manali. As soon as the death was reported from the cold, the local police immediately rushed to the spot and took the body in their possession, and sent it for postmortem. After this, SP Gaurav Singh of Kullu district confirmed the death of 40-year-old Rajesh Sharma due to cold.
Although it was sunny in the state on Friday and Saturday after continuous snowfall on the mountain, people did not get relief from the cold. The bone-chilling cold has disrupted the lives of ordinary people. The district administration has become alert after the death of a 40-year-old man due to cold in Manali. SP Gaurav Singh of Kullu informed that Rajesh Sharma, a resident of Chachoga Nala, has died due to cold. After the death, the police took statements from the locals and conducted postmortem of the body.
Earlier, several other districts, including the state capital Shimla, received heavy snowfall last week. Mountain peaks were seen covered with snow in many areas including Shimla, Manali, Keylong. However, after Friday, the sun shone in Shimla, which brought relief to the people. But in most of the districts of the state, the night is still getting very cold. Due to the cold, people are being imprisoned in their homes before evening falls. However, due to snowfall in the mountains, the number of tourists visiting Himachal is increasing.
