Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police said on Sunday that one of the two militants killed in the Encounter with security forces in Shopian yesterday is a member of Hizbul Mujahideen and he was trained in arms training last week in Pakistan. He said that so far this year, the security forces have recovered two M4 rifles from the terrorists. The Inspector General said that there is a possibility that Sheikh may have brought an M4 rifle from Pakistan. Army Trooper Havildar Pinku Kumar was martyred in this encounter, while another soldier was injured. The injured soldier has been taken to the Army’s 92 Base Hospital and his condition is stated to be stable.
