Bhubaneshwar: The government of Odisha on Thursday alerted the authorities of 12 districts in view of the possibility of a cyclonic storm off the state’s coast and said that it is ready to deal with every kind of situation.
Special Relief Commissioner PK Jena said that Odisha received a bulletin of the India Meteorological Department which predicted a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal which could turn into a cyclonic storm.
The storm is expected to pass through the Odisha-West Bengal coast by 26 May. Jena said that the government is fully prepared to deal with the cyclone and the authorities have been alerted.
