Nuh: In Haryana’s Nuh district, two parties clashed on Monday over a procession taken out by Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Two people died during the violence in Nuh. After this, the police patrolled the entire district throughout the night. Section 144 has been imposed in 4 districts of Haryana, Nuhan, Faridabad, Rewari, and Gurugram. Schools will remain closed on Tuesday in Faridabad and Gurugram. Jhajjar police is also on alert mode in view of the violence. Under the leadership of SP Arpit Jain, hundreds of policemen including 7 DSPs, and about two dozen SHOs have been deployed in sensitive areas. To handle the situation, the police have also gone in reserve.

Monitoring of messages hurting religious sentiments has been started on social media. The messages being posted on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube are being monitored at the district headquarters. Orders have been given to take strict action against those making inflammatory speeches or statements. In the Jhajjar district, the police are keeping a close watch on every nook and corner so that the atmosphere does not deteriorate.

Meanwhile, there is news that a mosque in Gurugram has been set on fire. In this, 5 people have suffered serious injuries, out of which the condition of 3 remains critical. The fire brigade’s vehicle reached the information and controlled the fire. The mosque located in Sector-57 was set on fire by unknown people, after which Section 144 has been imposed in Gurugram as well. Meanwhile, an appeal has been made for peace from both sides on behalf of the administration.

A dozen policemen injured
An official said that about a dozen policemen were injured in the Nuh violence. Eight of them were taken to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Hodal Deputy Superintendent of Police Sajjan Singh was shot in the head and an inspector in the stomach. On the other hand, a home guard named Neeraj died in the hospital. The police said that the vehicles that were burnt belonged to the people who were part of the procession and the police. At least four cars can be seen burning in a video clip. Another purported video shows two damaged police cars. Gunshots can also be heard in the clip.
