Upgrading the website of IRCTC once again, adding new features to it (New Features in IRCTC website) are being made so that customers can get convenience in booking tickets. Also some new features will be added to it. The website of IRCTC was last upgraded in 2018. Recently, Railway Board Chairman VK Yadav said that the process of the IRCTC website will be simplified by upgrading it.
There will also be a hotel and meal booking facility
Yadav had said that Artificial Intelligence will now be used in the IRCTC website so that customers can get a personalized experience. In addition, it will also be linked to hotel booking and meal booking. He had told that by August, railway ticket booking will be in a new collection and flavor so that passengers can get a better experience while booking tickets. During the last upgrade, this website added features like waitlist prediction feature, selection of alternate train when there is a waitlist ticket, and payment option.
Digital measures are being encouraged
Railways have made digital debut in a short time, such as QR-based tickets, e-filing systems etc. Explain that Indian Railways is planning to give contactless tickets having QR codes that can be scanned from mobile phones at stations and trains. Railway Board Chairman VK Yadav said that currently 85 percent of the train tickets are booked online and QR codes will be arranged for those buying tickets from the counter.
Facilities will be available like airport
Like the airport, Railways is also planning to give contactless tickets with QR code. While booking the train tickets, the URL (link) of a QR Code from the railway will be sent to the passenger’s mobile via SMS. At the time of ticket ticketing while entering the station or while traveling in the train, passengers have to click on the URL of the QR Code available in the SMS. By doing this, the QR on the passenger’s mobile browser The code will start appearing.
