NEET college to be opened in Karnataka from October 1, state government announced

New Delhi: In the midst of the ongoing controversy over NEET and JEE examinations across the country, the Government of Karnataka has announced the opening of colleges. On Wednesday, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister Dr. Ashwath Narayan CN announced that all the colleges in the state will be reopened from October 1.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar said, “This time the academic session will start from September 1 through online class, but offline class will be started in October.” He said, ‘The education department of the state government is waiting for the guidelines of offline classes from the central government.’ According to the information, preparations are being made for how offline classes will be organized by the Karnataka government in October. Along with this, how to protect children and teachers during the Corona period is also being planned.

Corona Testing Boosts
On one hand, the state government is planning to open a college, on the other hand, the state government has continuously increased its testing capacity, laboratories have increased from two to 108 today. In the last five days, 3,23,753 samples were tested, more than 50,000 are tested daily. Yesterday we crossed the data of 25 lakh samples tested, so far a total of 25,13,555 samples have been tested. The minister recently said that the government plans to test 75,000 samples daily.
More than 2 lakh cases of corona in Karnataka

As of 25 August evening, 2.91 lakh cases of Covid-19 were reported in Karnataka. Of these, 2,04,439 people have become infection free and 4,958 people have died.
