Bhopal: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced Mohan Yadav as the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, ending the suspense that had been going on for over a week. Mohan Yadav, a three-time MLA from Ujjain South constituency, was the Education Minister in the previous Shivraj Singh Chouhan government. He is also a PhD holder and a businessman.

Jagdish Deora, who won the MLA election from Malhargarh seat, and Rajesh Shukla, who won from Bijawar seat, were chosen as the Deputy Chief Ministers.
