New York: There may be a big change regarding the participants in the Miss Universe pageant. Now Married Women and Mothers can get approval to participate in it. It is being told that it will probably be started next year i.e. in 2023 with the 72nd Miss Universe pageant. Till now, only virgin women were allowed to participate in this competition organized for women around the world.
According to a report, the new format will be implemented for the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in 2023. Now married women and mothers will also be eligible to participate in the competition. Whereas according to the current rules, women participating in Miss Universe must be unmarried. The woman who won the Miss Universe title cannot marry until a new winner is crowned. Not only this, the winners of the Miss Universe pageant are expected not to become pregnant during this time.
The Miss Universe pageant is going to expand by allowing married women and mothers to participate in it. However, before the change in the rules of Miss Universe, only women aged 18 to 28 who were not married and had no children were allowed to participate. However, the age limit will remain the same despite the change in the rules.
