Metro-1 tickets will now be available on WhatsApp

Mumbai: As part of green initiatives to promote e-ticketing, R-Infra’s Mumbai Metro-1 e-ticketing service through WhatsApp has been launched. According to MMOPL, this type of service is being introduced in the world’s first mass rapid transit system.

Passengers traveling by Ghatkopar-Andheri-Versova Metro-1 can get tickets on their WhatsApp numbers. There will be an extension of ‘Paper QR Tickets’ available at the ticket counters.

To get e-tickets on WhatsApp, high text WhatsApp number 9670008889 or a QR scan has to be done. E-tickets will be available even on sharing of One Time Password at the ticket counter. Tickets can be used within 20 minutes from booking time. About 3 lakh passengers travel on the Metro-1 corridor every day.

Passengers increasing on Metro 2A and 7
Significantly, the number of passengers on Mumbai’s second Metro 2A and 7 (Metro 2A and 7) is increasing gradually.
