New Delhi: Many apps like Paytm, Zomato, Hotstar, Sony Liv all over the world including India suddenly went down on Thursday evening on 22 July. It is being told that this problem has come up due to Akamai Global Outage. Akamai is fixing this problem.
According to media reports, the outage started at around 8.55 pm on Thursday. Within five minutes, about 3,000 people were unable to reach Zomato alone. Had similar problems with several other apps as well.
This problem came with Akamai, which provides the Internet with critical infrastructure. Akamai said that we have implemented a fix for this problem and based on current comments, our service is resuming normal operation. We will continue to monitor to make sure its impact continues to subside.
Akamai also said that we are continuing to monitor the situation and can confirm that it was not the result of a cyberattack on the Akamai platform.
Delta Air Lines, British Airways, Capital One, Go, Daddy, Vanguard, UPS, LastPass, AT&T, and Costco were reporting slow loading or DNS failure Thursday afternoon.
Some real blockages have arisen because of this glitch. Delta Air Lines customers were unable to access the airline’s website and app until the company corrected the error.
