Kolkata: In West Bengal, the fight between the Mamata Banerjee government and the central government has intensified. After the attack on the convoy of BJP President JP Nadda, the Central Home Ministry had summoned the Chief Secretary and DGP of the state to Delhi. Here, the state ruling party Trinamool Congress attacked the Union Home Ministry on Friday after the state chief secretary and director general of police were summoned after the attack on BJP President JP Nadda’s convoy in West Bengal and said the saffron party created such a situation Trying to do where the central government can intervene in matters related to the state. Senior Trinamool Congress MPs-Saugat Roy and Kalyan Banerjee alleged that Nadda’s convoy had ‘convicted criminals’ and goons and that they had weapons with the wrong intention of inciting violence.
Banerjee said in a press conference here, “The work the Central Government is doing by sending a letter seeking a report from the state government is unauthorized. It is unacceptable to summon the Chief Secretary of the Home Ministry and the Director General of Police. “He said,” The BJP and the Central Government are trying to create a situation where they can interfere in the federal structure. “
Banerjee said that the atmosphere is getting spoiled by the provocative speeches of Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh. Banerjee claimed that Nadda was accompanied by ‘convicted criminals’ and armed people associated with the BJP. Nadda’s convoy in West Bengal was attacked by alleged Trinamool Congress workers on Thursday morning when he was going to Diamond Harbor to address a meeting of BJP workers.
According to BJP sources, several party leaders including senior leader Kailash Vijayvargiya were injured in the attack.
After receiving a report from Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar regarding the attack on Nadda’s convoy, the Union Home Ministry has summoned the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police of West Bengal to clarify on the law and order situation in the state.
