Kuala Lumpur: North Korean diplomats in Malaysia vacate their embassy and are set to leave the country on Sunday. The move was taken after North Korea and Malaysia (Malaysia) ended their diplomatic relations over extraditing a suspected North Korean criminal to the US. At the same time, the flag of North Korea has been removed from the embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

Angry North Korea announced an end to diplomatic ties with Malaysia on Friday, two days after Malaysia had extradited a North Korean citizen to the US on charges of money laundering. Malaysia condemned the decision and asked North Korean diplomats to leave the country within 48 hours.
