He single-handedly memorised and recited the entire Dandakrama Parayan of the Madhyandini branch of the Shukla Yajurveda, completing this most difficult section of the Veda in just 50 days from October 2 to November 30, 2025.

Significance of Dandakrama Parayan in Vedic Tradition

Scholars have described the Dandakrama Parayan as the ultimate test of Vedic mastery, representing the most difficult spiritual practice within the Vedic tradition. The recitation requires flawless memorization and delivery of approximately 2,000 mantras over 165 hours of continuous chanting, maintaining perfect intonation, pronunciation, and rhythm throughout the 50-day period.

Vedic experts noted that Devvrat’s recitation was executed with classical purity and completed in the shortest time frame recorded in history. The achievement took place at the Vallabhram Shaligram Sangved Vidyalaya at Ramghat in Kashi, under the guidance of his teacher Vedbrahma Shri Mahesh Chandrakant. Saints and dignitaries who witnessed the recitation praised both the young scholar and his guru for preserving and revitalizing this ancient tradition.

The accomplishment serves as a powerful testament to India’s living Vedic heritage and demonstrates how young scholars are carrying forward the Guru-Shishya parampara in modern times, ensuring that these sacred traditions continue to thrive for future generations.
