Mumbai: A big news related to tennis star Leander Paes and model-actress Rhea Pillai is coming out. The Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate Court has given its verdict in the domestic violence case filed by the actress against Leander Paes in 2014. A Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Mumbai has said in its order that Leander Paes has committed several acts of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend Rhea Pillai.
Under which the court has directed Leander Paes to pay a monthly rent of Rs 50,000, in addition to monthly maintenance of Rs 1 lakh to Rhea Pillai. Metropolitan Magistrate Komal Singh Rajput passed the order earlier this month, which was pronounced on Wednesday. However, the court directed Riya to pay monthly rent and maintenance, saying that if she chooses to stay at their shared residence in Bandra, she would not be entitled to monetary relief.
Rhea Pillai had approached the court in 2014 seeking relief and protection under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, stating that she was in a live-in relationship with Leander Paes for eight years. The actress had claimed that Leander had abused her emotionally and financially.
