Kedarnath: The doors of Kedarnath Dham were opened for the devotees on Tuesday morning at 6.20 am. The Kedarnath temple has been decorated with 35 quintals of flowers on the auspicious occasion of Kapatodghatan. More than 10,000 devotees witnessed the auspicious time of Kapatodghatan. During this, flowers were showered on the devotees by helicopter. There, singers Roop Kumar Rathore and Sunali Rathore performed bhajans.

The process of opening the doors started at 5 in the morning. Along with the discharge of religious traditions, the Panchmukhi Bhog idol of Baba Kedar reached the temple premises from Rawal Niwas sitting in Chal Utsav Vigraha Doli.

Here Rawal blessed the devotees. After this, the portals of the temple were opened by the administration in the presence of Rawal and Shri Badrinath Kedarnath temple committee officials. As soon as the doors opened, the Dham echoed with the cheers of Mahadev.

After this, the chief priest Shivling performed special worship of Lord Kedarnath in the sanctum sanctorum. After this, the darshan of Kedarnath started for summers.

CM Dhami could not reach
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was to reach Kedarnath Dham on the occasion of the opening of the doors. But it is being told that due to bad weather, they could not reach the Dham.

Heli service will start today
With the opening of the doors, the operation of the Heli service has started in Kedarnath Dham today. Booking of Kedarnath Heli Service has been completed till May 7. The timing for booking of tickets for the onward journey will be decided soon. Heli service will be operated for the pilgrims from Guptkashi, Phata, and Sirsi helipads.

The doors of Badrinath Dham will open on April 27
The doors of Gangotri-Yamunotri Dham opened on 22 April. At the same time, today the doors of Kedarnath Dham have also opened. Now on April 27, the doors of Badrinath Dham will be opened for the pilgrims.
