IRCTC launches luxury train Golden Chariot, check fares and routes

New Delhi: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has started Golden Chariot. The operation of this train started on 14 March. The train operated by the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) was temporarily discontinued last year due to a lack of passengers, but now it has been resumed. This train will start from Bengaluru and return to Bengaluru via Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Goa. The booking of which can be done through the official website of the luxury train.

These special features will be available
According to KSTDC, the Golden Chariot is equipped with padded furniture, renovated rooms and bathrooms, new linen and cutlery. This luxury train also has a smart TV with Wi-Fi facility. Apart from this, security features like CCTV and fire protection have also been upgraded in the train. The food menu of the train has also been prepared in a new way. All safety standards will be followed in the wake of corona infection.

According to IRCTC, three packages have been kept in the train. This train will start from Bengaluru and return to Bengaluru via Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Goa. The booking of which can be done through the official website of the luxury train.

Let us tell you, the luxury train was started by Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation in 2008, but later it was handled by IRCTC. The tour package includes all onboard meals, transportation for sightseeing, entry fees for all destinations included in the trip, as well as guide costs. The cost for the deluxe cabin for the tour package is 320,130 for the single. The cost of the trip is 240,100 rupees.

How long will it take?

  • Pride of Karnataka (6 nights / 7 days) – Starting from Bengaluru on March 14, will return to Bangalore covering Bandipur National Park, Mysore, Halebid, Chikkamagaluru, Hampi, Aihole, Pattadakal, Goa.
  • Jewel of South – Revised (3 Nights / 4 Days) Starting from Bengaluru on 21 March, back from Mysore, Hampi, Mahabalipuram to Bengaluru.

IRCTC has taken the responsibility of operation, management and marketing of this special train from Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC). KSTDC launched the Golden Chariot train in 2008.

As per the IRCTC update, the Golden Chariot is a luxury train launched with the aim of offering a package of travel to places of historical, architectural, mystical and scenic relevance on the southern sector. It will be equipped with attractive features based on the board and international service standards.
