Peter Handka received the Nobel of literature in 2019
For information, let us know that in the year 2019, the Nobel Prize for Literature was given to Austrian-originated writer Peter Handka. He was given this award for innovative writing and the latest experiments in the language. At the same time, the 57-year-old Nobel of Literature was awarded to Polish writer Tokarchuk for making a narrative hypothesis beyond the boundaries of life.

The Nobel Academy stated that New York-born Glick wrote her first work, ‘Firstborn’ in 1968 and she soon joined the ranks of American contemporary literature’s most well-known poets. It stated that his collection ‘Everno’, which came out in 2006, is a magnificent collection that is a brilliant interpretation of the myth of Persephany in Hell (Greek mythology) in the captivity of the god of death, Hades.

Anders Olson, chairman of the Nobel Literature Committee, said that Glick has 12 poetry collections in which there is a desire for clarity. Olson said that these include collections such as ‘Descending Figure’ and ‘The Triumph of Aciles’. He praised Glick, saying, “His voice is brilliant and firm.” The award has been given after many years of controversy.

In 2018, the award was deferred when the Swedish Academy was shaken by allegations of sexual abuse and its members had to resign collectively. The Academy restructured itself to regain the trust of the Nobel Foundation Trust, and then two winners were selected last year. The 2018 award came to Poland’s Olga Tokarjuk and the 2019 award to Peter Handke of Austria.

Protest erupted over Handke’s award. Handke, a supporter of Serb forces during the Balkan War of the 1990s, has been called a supporter of Serb war crimes. Many countries, including Albania, Bosnia and Turkey, protested the Nobel Prize ceremony in protest and a member of the committee that selected the litterateurs for the Nobel Prize for Literature resigned. The Nobel Prize carries a gold medal and an amount of one crore Swedish kronor (about 8.20 crore rupees).

Swedish kronor is the currency of Sweden. The award is given in the name of Swedish scientist Alfred Nobel. Earlier, this year’s Nobel Prize has been announced in many fields including chemistry and physics. This award is yet to be announced in the field of peace and economics.
