
Indore: There is big news related to the city of Indore. In the Cleanliness Survey 2020, Indore has been ranked first in the cleanest cities in the country. For the fourth consecutive year, Indore has won the number-1 ranking title. Earlier, in 2017, 18 and 19, Indore has got the title of number-1 clean city by the central government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) announced the results of the Cleanliness Survey 2020 on Thursday, in which Indore city has been declared the cleanest city in the country. The process of congratulations has started after this ranking.

reasons for declaring Indore as number one
- Citizen Feedback – The people of Indore not only praised cleanliness but due to their responses, Indore could again become No.1
- Waste Reduction – Single-Use Plastic Banned, Launched Jhola Bank in place of Disposal for Utensil Banks and Bags, 56 Shops and bullion markets made Disposal Free
- Revenue Collection – Indore collected 40 crores of the waste management fee, this was the peak which no other city could touch. Even no In Bhopal, the waste management fee was not more than 15 crores
- Rainwater harvesting system installed in 16 thousand buildings of the city
- More than 10 colonies were converted into wet waste from homes and converted into compost in homes.
- Removing 1.5 million tons of old waste in trenching grounds and making more than 60 thousand saplings was made a city forest

Celebrations begin in Indore
Celebration has started in Indore after becoming number-1 for the fourth time. MP Shankar Lalwani has appealed to the people to light a lamp from door to door in the evening and play conch, plates and pay respect to the cleaners who come door to door on Friday morning. Offer them a garland and perform aarti and feed them sweets. Indore collector Manish Singh congratulated the people for the fourth consecutive time in Indore cleanliness. Collector Manish Singh, who was the commissioner in Indore Municipal Corporation, had raised a cleanliness mark.
