India’s first electric car with range of 480 km launched today, know what will be price

New Delhi: MG Motor India is going to launch the updated model of the ZS EV today. MG ZS EV was first launched in January 2021. It is being relaunched with a few minor changes and an updated range. The updated model of MG ZS EV will get a range of 480 km more than before. That is, it will run 480 km on a single charge. However, even before the launch, the company had disclosed its looks and features.

MG ZS EV is expected to get a bigger battery pack this time. While the current ZS EV gets a 44.5kWh lithium-ion battery, the facelifted model could have a bigger 51kWh battery, which will give a range of up to 480 km per charge. The current ZS EV generates 143 hp power and 353 Nm torque.

In the MG ZS EV update, the electric specification has been changed along with the design. Talking about its cosmetic updates, it will get sleeker LED headlamps with daytime LED running lamps. The company claims that the MG ZS EV will be the most value-for-money electric SUV based on the UK’s globally popular platform. It has the longest-range SUV compared to any EV in India. Talking about its rear look, it will get revised LED taillamps and rear bumper.

The MG ZS EV update will get the ADAS feature and 360-degree camera. Like the MG Astor, a camera and radar setup can be given in it. Apart from this, USP Robot Assistant will also be seen in it. On the other hand, talking about the dashboard, it will get a 7-inch digital display and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The top variants will get new faux carbon-fiber trim around the touchscreen. The climate control buttons have also been changed, which will be like the Aster.

This will be the price
The MG ZS EV update will get a battery pack of 51kWh. It is being speculated that its price will be higher than before. The current ZS EV’s ex-showroom price ranges from Rs 21.49 lakh to Rs 25.18 lakh. It is expected that its price can be between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 30 lakh.
