New Delhi: The situation in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv under Russia-Ukraine War is deteriorating. Meanwhile, a strict advisory has been issued to the stranded Indians there. It states that all Indian citizens and students should leave Kyiv as soon as possible. In the emergency advisory issued by the Embassy to Indians in Kyiv, it has been said that Indians should leave the city immediately in the condition they are in.
The Indian embassy in its advisory said, ‘Advice for Indians in Kyiv… All Indian nationals including students are advised to leave Kyiv with immediate effect today. Through trains already available or by any other available means.

The government is running Operation Ganga to bring back the stranded Indians in Ukraine. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that the eighth flight carrying 216 Indian nationals has left for New Delhi from Hungary’s capital Budapest, while the ninth flight carrying 218 Indians took off from Romania’s capital Bucharest to New Delhi.
Now the help of the Air Force will be taken
Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the Indian Air Force to join the airlift operation of Indians stranded in Ukraine. Air Force may be involved in Operation Ganga. The Air Force can use C-17 aircraft for airlift.
C-17 Globemaster made lifesaving from the Philippines to Kabul
The C-17 Globemaster flew 640 people during the unrest in Afghanistan. The Indian Air Force had twice airlifted Indians from Kabul in a C-17 Globemaster aircraft. India has 11 C-17 Globemaster aircraft. The outer structure of this aircraft is so strong that the firing of rifles and small arms has no effect on it.
SpiceJet planes will also fly
SpiceJet plane will fly to Kosice, Slovakia today to bring back Indian citizens stranded in Ukraine. Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju is going as a special envoy of the Government of India to monitor this.
