Washington: A doctor of Indian origin was crushed to death by thieves running away after stealing a car. According to the reports in American media, this whole incident of the death of the doctor (33) happened in front of his girlfriend. Rakesh ‘Rick’ Patel, a doctor from Silver Spring Maryland, came out of his Mercedes on Wednesday to give some items to his girlfriend. Meanwhile, car thieves started running away with his car. Rakesh’s father Dr. Rajinikanth Patel told NBC4 Washington TV that his son was very gentle and social. He said, “for no reason who took his life.”
Rakesh’s mother Charulata said, “I always used to call him Babu.” Rakesh is the youngest among five siblings. Washington Police has announced a $25,000 reward for the arrest of the thieves.
