RBI warns about fraud! Be alert or else the bank account will be zero

New Delhi: Reserve Bank of India- RBI has warned people about cyber fraud. RBI has tweeted on Twitter that customers do not give their personal details on any phone call, email, SMS, and web-link. RBI said that if in doubt, check the customer support number on the official website of your bank. RBI says Be informed, be cautious!

The RBI said, cyber fraud becomes in the pinch. Never tell anyone about your personal information such as card details, bank account, Aadhaar, PAN etc. Through the tweet, the RBI has said that if you get a call from an unknown number or if someone asks you a bank account number or wants KYC information from you, then you immediately disconnect the phone.

1.48 Lakh Crore Fraud
If you look at the data received from RTI-Right to Information Act, then in the last financial year 2019-20, 12,461 cases of fraud amounting to a total of Rs 1,48,428 crore have been reported by the then 18 banks in the public sector. . In the last financial year, the biggest victim of fraud has become SBI i.e. State Bank of India. During this period, 6,964 cases involving fraud of Rs 44,612.93 crore were reported to SBI. This amount is about 30 percent of the total amount of fraud in 18 state-owned banks during the last financial year.
