Ranchi: Under the Chief Minister Urban Scheme in Jharkhand, now the state government will give 100 days of employment to laborers of the urban body sector. The Chief Minister Shramik Yojna was launched at the Chief Minister Hemant Soren Project Bhawan. On this occasion, he said that the government will provide 100 days of employment guarantee in a financial year to adult and skilled workers residing in urban areas.
CM said that a large number of people have become unemployed during the Corona period. For such people, this scheme has been started for urban area like rural area. Under this scheme, youth above 18 years of age will be provided employment within 15 days after registration. The government will give unemployment allowance if employment is not available. Starting the project online from the project building auditorium, the Chief Minister also gave job cards to 5 people of Ranchi Municipal Corporation area.
On the occasion, Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary, Urban Development Department said that the government will provide 100 days of employment to people living in urban areas like rural areas. Employment of the ongoing scheme will be given in various departments. For this, workers will have to apply on the portal http://may.jharkhand.gov.in. Wages will be paid through bank accounts after the end of work or after one week.
5 lakh urban poor will benefit
Annual budget will be made for this scheme every time. The state government hopes that the scheme will benefit 5 lakh poor families living in the urban areas of the state.
