Islamabad: Pakistan’s cabinet has removed Naeem Bukhari, a close aide of Prime Minister Imran Khan, on the orders of the High Court, from the post of President of Government Pakistan Television (PTV). Several media reports said that the move was taken after the High Court barred him from acting as the head of the channel.
Supreme Court lawyer, leader and former TV presenter Bukhari was appointed the head of the government channel in November last year, after which he was criticized for getting the benefit of being close to Prime Minister Khan.
