
Bhopal: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over east and east-central India during the next 3-4 days. At the same time, IMD has issued a red alert for Madhya Pradesh. The IMD said that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in the state on August 3. Along with this, there is a possibility of extremely heavy rains in East Madhya Pradesh on 2 August as well.
The IMD said that extremely heavy falls are very likely over South Gangetic West Bengal on Tuesday, North Odisha on August 1 and 2, and East Madhya Pradesh on August 3 and will decrease thereafter. Rainfall activity will also increase over Northwest India from August 3 to August 6.

The weather agency has predicted an increase in rain activity over the Konkan coast and adjoining Madhya Maharashtra during the next 3 days and said that there will be a reduction in rain activity. It will continue over Peninsular India during the next 5 days.
