Bharatpur(Rajasthan): A shocking news came out today in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, where the ambulance worker did not let the pregnant woman inside the hospital for 500 rupees. Due to which the woman gave birth to the child at the hospital gate. During this, the newborn fell from the stretcher and hanged through the umbilical cord. Which was immediately handled by family members.
500 forcibly recovered
25-year-old Sangeeta, living in Dedki, Alwar, was living in her maternal home in Sripur. On Thursday night, when he was in pain, he was immediately brought to Deeg Hospital. From there she was referred to the Women’s Hospital in Bharatpur, the woman’s pain increased on the way. On reaching Bharatpur Hospital, the ambulance asked for a fare of 500 rupees, despite free service. The woman accompanying the pregnant told the ambulance worker to first manage Sangeeta, but he was adamant and insisted on taking 500 rupees.
Negligence of doctor and nurse, delivery at the gate itself
During this time the negligence of the hospital was also noticed. Neither doctors nor nurses came for a long time. The family was sitting pregnant on a stretcher 3 feet high, when delivery was made. During this time, the newborn was hanging from the umbilical cord. After the entire incident, the woman was admitted to the Post Natal Care (PNC) ward. Sangeeta had already gone to OPD on the second day at 8 am before the doctor went to the round. The hospital administration says that the staff was busy taking care of other patients, when she left without any notice.
The case will be investigated
On this whole incident, Dr. Rupinder Jha, in charge of Bharatpur Hospital, says that the whole matter will be investigated. Action will also be taken against the culprits. On this matter, the hospital in-charge said that the mother-child was hospitalized till morning and she was examined and admitted by the pediatrician and gynecologist, while she is both safe and sound. He also told that before the doctor’s round at 8 in the morning, the mother-child left the bed without telling them.
