
New Delhi: It rained heavily in many parts of Delhi on Sunday, due to which the weather has become pleasant. The Meteorological Department predicted light rain/drizzle in isolated parts of South Delhi and NCR. According to IMD, light to moderate rain is also expected in parts of Haryana and Rajasthan.
The IMD said in its report, ‘Light to moderate rain will occur in the adjoining areas of Farukhnagar, Kosli, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Narnaul, Bawal (Haryana) Khairthal, Kotputli, Alwar, Rajgarh (Rajasthan).’ Told that on Sunday, the minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 15.4 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal. People in the national capital got a respite from the heat due to the rain on Saturday.
There is a possibility of rain in these states as well
The IMD predicted that there is a possibility of torrential rain with light thunderstorms and thundershowers in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh on Sunday. The Meteorological Department said, ‘There is a possibility of thunderstorm/hailstorm in West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and East Rajasthan on Monday as well.’ On the other hand, IMD tweeted on Saturday, ‘With thunderstorm/hailstorm in North India during 18-20th. Rain; There is a possibility of heavy rains in Northeast India between March 19 and 22 in Central, and West India, and in South Peninsula on 18 and 19.

There is a possibility of rain in South India as well
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light to moderate rain in many districts of Tamil Nadu in the next 48 hours starting from Saturday. Another RMC senior official told that for the next two days, there is a possibility of rain with rain in many districts including Coimbatore, Kanyakumari, Chengalpattu, Erode, and Tiruvallur.
