Bhopal: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in eight districts of Madhya Pradesh and a yellow alert for torrential rain in 22 districts in the next 24 hours. During this period, IMD has issued a yellow alert regarding heavy rainfall (from 64.5 mm to 115.6 mm) at some places in 22 districts of the state including Bhopal, Indore, and Jabalpur. According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon has reached the entire Madhya Pradesh. The department has warned that due to the monsoon activities, there may be an increase in the incidents of lightning accompanied by thunder and lightning in the state.

According to the IMD, during the last 24 hours (from 8.30 am on Sunday to 8.30 am on Monday), at most places in the districts of Bhopal, Jabalpur, and Shahdol divisions of the state, in the districts of Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Chambal, Gwalior, and Sagar divisions.
