IMD had issued an ‘Orange’ alert regarding rain in Mumbai recently, which was later increased to a ‘Red’ alert.

According to an estimate, Mumbai has received about 302 mm of rain in the last week. In a special bulletin issued on the city’s rain, it has been told that during the next 18 hours, there is a possibility of rain in Mumbai and adjoining Thane, Raigad, and Ratnagiri districts of the city. Central Railway CPRO has informed that trains are running late by 20-25 minutes due to heavy rain and waterlogging on the slow line near Kurla-Vidyavihar. Kurla-Vidyavihar slow line traffic has been diverted to the fast line. The Harbor line is also running late by 20-25 minutes. Trans-Harbour Line traffic is running smoothly.
