New Delhi: Google has introduced such an important update, due to which users need to be alerted. It is learned that Google will remove accounts that have not been used or signed in for 2 years. Google confirmed in its blog post that Google will delete the inactive account and all its content such as Gmail, Docs, Drive, Meet, Calendar, YouTube, and Google Photos.

Google has told that the purpose of doing this is the security of the users. It was told in the blog post that inactive accounts are not safe, and if there is even a slight tampering with such accounts, then the personal information of the users can be at risk.

Citing its internal report, Google has also told that the probability of an inactive account is reduced by at least 10 times compared to an active account for setting up two-step verification.

This means that these accounts remain vulnerable, and if hacked, the user’s identity can be used for cybercrimes.
