The confusion began following a violent altercation last Tuesday evening at Fairmont and Holt Avenue in Fresno’s northwestern region, where two individuals were critically injured. The incident quickly caught the public’s attention in India, with rampant speculation that one of the deceased was the infamous gangster Goldy Brar.
However, Lieutenant William J. Dooley of the Fresno Police Department has categorically denied these claims. “Due to some online chat, it is being claimed that the victim of the shooting is Goldy Brar, so we confirm that this is absolutely not true,” stated Lieutenant Dooley. He emphasized that the department has repeatedly investigated the matter due to the spread of misinformation on social media and online news platforms.
The police have confirmed that the individual who lost his life in the incident is not Goldy Brar but his associate, 37-year-old Xavier Galdani.
