Mumbai: The sequel to the blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, is showing no signs of slowing down. The film collected around 14 crores on its 11th day, taking its total collection to 389.10 crores. The film is expected to cross the 400 crore mark soon.
The film, directed by Anil Sharma, opened with a bang on Day 1, earning Rs 40.1 crore. It maintained its momentum over the weekend, earning Rs 43.8 crore on Day 2 and Rs 51.7 crore on Day 3. The film also performed well on weekdays, earning Rs 38.7 crore on Day 4, Rs 55.4 crore on Day 5, Rs 32.37 crore on Day 6, and Rs 23.28 crore on Day 7. The film saw a slight dip on its second Friday, earning Rs 20.5 crore, but picked up again on Saturday and Sunday, earning Rs 31.7 crore and Rs 38.9 crore respectively.
Gadar 2 is the second highest-grossing Hindi film of the year 2023, after Pathan, which has earned over 500 crores so far. Gadar 2 features many talented actors besides Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, such as Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, and Gaurav Chopra.
